26 Mar 2020 Voices of Calm
So a friend and colleague, Adam Barr, has put together a wonderful thing: a YouTube channel called, “Voices of Calm.” The idea was to create a peaceful space where anyone could go and listen to a story. They say it best with,
“Voices of Calm gathers readings by audiobook narrators, voice actors, stage actors, and authors of novel excerpts, chapters, short stories, poems, nonfiction, children’s literature and more…all to provide a respite of calm and serenity during troubled times. Drawing energy from the universal truth that everyone loves to be told a story, Voices of Calm invites anyone and everyone to pause, relax, and listen.”
With the author’s permission, I shared a story from a book that I have loved for years, ‘The Tale of the Bird,’ from Emma Donoghue’s Kissing the Witch.
